Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary President who will support a flooring company based in Fairfield, NJ. This President will oversee operations, sales and the overall well-being of a nationally recognized commercial flooring distributor. They will provide leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations with an emphasis on long-term goals, appropriate growth, profit, and return on investment.
Duties/Responsibilities
•Lead the organization to meet and exceed financial goals, serve as the main point of business development, continuously pursue operational excellence and guide the long-term strategy.
•Set a personal example of integrity and respect in all matters, with all stakeholders at all times.
•Review the Company’s monthly financial, operational, and key performance indicators (KPI’s), compare the results with the objectives, and take the necessary measures to maintain the results or correct unsatisfactory results.
•Work closely to establish short-term objectives, long-term goals and related plans, SWOT development, and budgets.
•Provide comprehensive monthly reports on the status of operations and regular operational updates to the Company staff.
•Ensure the highest level of safety for all stakeholders at the Company’s workplaces, including job sites.
•Engage in new business development efforts, maintaining existing account base and achieve personal sales production.
•Assist the sales team in managing existing and potential customers to generate revenue.
•Ensure that financial reporting, operations, and human resources are in compliance with Company policy, pertinent rules, regulations, and legislation.
•Travel as necessary to meet the intent of the job description.
•Guide the Company’s leadership group and provide development opportunities to enhance their knowledge, performance, communication, and cooperation.
•Engage in continual personal development as needed to meet job objectives.
•Serve as the Company representative to all stakeholders, including customers.
Required Skills:
•10+ years of commercial flooring experience
•Financial responsibility
•Operations leadership; estimating, pricing, quoting, order processing and tracking, scheduling, installations, etc.
•Sales leadership; training and mentoring; setting KPI’s, motivating
•Must have experience leading teams
•Organized-highly detailed
•Ability to work in a face paced environment
•Understands all types of flooring
