Position Overview: As the Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the success of each project, owning the early stages of the design-build process. You'll collaborate closely with our design, estimating, sales, and production teams to ensure each project is accurately scoped, budgeted, and set up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead the pre-construction process from initial client handoff to construction start.
•Coordinate with architects, designers, and estimators to develop project scope and budgets.
•Oversee feasibility assessments, site visits, and pre-construction planning.
•Build and manage project schedules and key deliverables for the pre-construction phase.
•Evaluate and finalize construction documents, plans, and specifications.
•Conduct value engineering exercises to align project design with client budget.
•Serve as liaison between sales/design and production to ensure a smooth handoff.
•Participate in client meetings to communicate scope, timelines, and project readiness.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in residential construction or pre-construction management, preferably in a design-build environment.
•Strong understanding of residential construction methods, project costing, and building codes.
•Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
•Proficient in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Microsoft Project).
•Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple pre-construction projects simultaneously.
•Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
