Custom Home Construction Manager

Riverwood Homes is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Custom Home Construction Manager to join our team. As a Construction Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site construction activities and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This position will require 40 - 50 hours of work per week with some weekend work required on an as needed basis.
Construction Manager responsibilities include:
•Participate in all construction activities, including start-up, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Includes start up and ongoing construction activities.
•Work closely with Company Management to ensure projects are completed in accordance with project parameters.
•Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
•Facilitate communication with Homeowners including management of Handover.
•Acquire and manage construction permits
•Facilitate all construction permits
•Coordination of all trade partners and vendors to ensure that quality, schedule and budget are adhered to.
•Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications, and that quality control measures are in place and followed.
•Daily supervision of assigned projects (New construction as well as renovations)
•Participate in reviewing all direct and indirect construction expenditures.
Construction Manager Qualifications Include:
•5 or more years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on Custom Home Construction.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain great relationships with all parties throughout the build process.
•Ability to manage all three aspects (Cost, Schedule and Quality) of projects.
•Self-starter and self-motivator to “figure it out” without being told what to do.
•Technical skill with some proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word documents and construction management software.
•Proficiency with Procore software.
Construction Manager Compensation & Benefits:
•This is an exempt, salaried position with compensation commensurate to education and experience, but with an initial minimum salary of $75,000/year with bi-monthly pay periods.
•Company truck after first six months (fuel will be covered during this period)
•Company credit card for business expenses
•This position qualifies for employer medical and dental contribution of $500 per pay period.
•Initial compensation includes three (3) work weeks, or fifteen (15) work days, of annual paid-time-off (PTO) deposited each January 1st concurrent with the expiration of the unused portion of the prior year’s PTO.
•There will be an overall position review following the first six months of employment with appropriate compensation adjustment.
