KDi is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Powder Coating Paint Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in applying powder coatings to various metal products, ensuring flawless, high-quality finishes that align with our commitment to excellence. This role demands precision, an eye for detail, efficiency, ability to plan and execute, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This person will be able to plan, coordinate, and provide hands on assistance in the daily flow of parts through the hanging, washing, powdering, baking, and down stacking steps to ensure maximum output that meets our high quality expectations.
- Powder Coating Application: Expertly apply powder coatings to metal components, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes that meet or exceed industry standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of the team.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of coated products to verify the finish meets quality specifications and identify any areas needing touch-up or rework.
- Process Optimization: Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the powder coating process, contributing to overall productivity and quality enhancement. Create an efficient process for loading parts, cleaning parts, powdering and baking parts, and down stacking of coated parts to minimize waiting and downtime.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on powder coating equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Proven experience as a Powder Coating Paint Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing or finishing industry.
- Strong understanding of powder coating techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead powder coat team members to be efficient to meet and exceed daily production requirements
- Self-motivated individual who can bring energy and drive to the team to hit daily goals.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety standards and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
