Overview:
The Land Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of process and utility systems in a production facility. This role ensures compliance with operational requirements and environmental guidelines while coordinating with maintenance and third-party personnel to optimize production and ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities:
•Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
•Monitor, maintain, and optimize process parameters (e.g., level, flow, temperature, pressure) within operating requirements.
•Ensure sampling is carried out, and act upon sample results.
•Troubleshoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume and identify operational problems.
•Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, and Fire and Gas Systems.
•Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by company and client.
•Witness third-party calibrations to verify meter factors and volumes when appropriate.
•Prove export oil meters.
•Carry out all operations safely and in an environmentally sound manner. Operate the production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
•Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
•Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer
•Coordinate logistics for the facility.
•Handle and treat chemicals.
•Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required.
•Operate under the Permit to Work (PTW) system, conduct Toolbox Talks, and perform Risk Assessments.
•Advise maintenance personnel on the hazards of plant and equipment.
•Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations.
•Control activities of vendor and subcontractor personnel.
•Create and maintain effective working relationships.
•Foster and maintain a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
•4-6 years of Oil and Gas experience required and/or Plant Operator specific experience preferred.
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
•Must live within a 45-mile radius of Denver City, TX.
•Drilling experience accepted
•Good experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
•Must have reliable vehicle.
