Plant Mechanic

The maintenance team at Whittemore needs a jack-of-all trades mechanic to join the department. Your day to day will be a mix of troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, and designing. Welding is a requirement, Mig and stick. We run 4 large blast furnace to process perlite and vermiculite. All the furnaces and associated equipment are the responsibility of the maintenance department. You will have the freedom to improve systems, design solutions, and implement your ideas. This is a dynamic job and there is always a project in progress. 1st shift, 5am-2pm

Note weekend coverage

Employment Classification: Hourly
