Plant Manager

Skyway Precision, Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to lead operations at our Livonia, MI. location. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for team development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

# Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

- # Responsible for the daily operations of the facility.

- # Ensure that maximum profitability can be achieved through process improvements, waste reduction and production efficiency.

- # Responsible for training, directing, and evaluating all direct personnel.

- # Ensure proper production levels are met and documented per the production schedule, and if not, implement corrective action.

- # Communicate information (positive or negative) to appropriate management or personnel in a timely manner for problem solving and/or continuous improvement.

- # Report machine status to the Operations Manager when inoperative or during set-up periods.

- # Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all required documentation as it relates to job costing.

- # Motivate and mentor personnel in a positive, effective manner.

- # Monitor employee attendance, job performance, job competency and

- # productivity making corrective actions where necessary.

- # Evaluating employee performance during the employee appraisal process.

- # Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager in determining and maintaining the appropriate staffing levels.

- # Initiate employee disciplinary actions and ensure that, when necessary, that the

- # Human Resources Manager is in full concurrence of the action.

- # Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the plant floor and assigned office areas and holding the supervisors and employees accountable for these tasks.

- # Monitor and enforce Company safety and health policies.

- # Support compliance with Skyway Precision, Inc.’s Quality Policies and Procedures (IATF 16949 & ISO 14001).

- # Reference the Responsibility Matrix – Form QAF636 for responsibilities as they relate to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.

General Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- 10+ year's experience in CNC machining or manufacturing. - 5+ years' experience in a management position.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Operational and Industry experience.
