Plant Engineer - Ethanol Plant

Description

Performs activities related to the design, modification and operation of process equipment in the ethanol plant. Reviews the process equipment/data and takes action to improve plant operations. Coordinates with fleet engineering resources to ensure the Mechanical Integrity Program complies with company and OSHA PSM standards. Manages projects from conception through completion including the development, design and execution of capital, expense and maintenance projects in a safe and efficient manner.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Valero's Bluffton ethanol plant is located in Bluffton, Indiana, about 30 miles south of Fort Wayne. The bio-refinery sits on 422 acres and started ethanol production in September 2008. The facility uses a dry-grind production method and state-of-the-art technology to maintain industry-leading standards in production, safety, product quality and environmental stewardship. The Bluffton plant annually processes nearly 45 million bushels of corn into 130 million gallons of denatured ethanol and 340,000 tons of distillers grains co-products. The bio-refinery has a nameplate capacity of 110 million gallons of ethanol per year and employs approximately 65 employees.
