Plant Engineer – Stucco Plant, Greybull

The Plant Engineer develops and improves manufacturing systems by studying product and manufacturing methods, identifying areas/processes for improvement, conducting feasibility studies, proposing equipment/system improvements, developing system design and specifications, and execution of capital projects.
Specific
responsibilities may include:•Design and measure methods/metrics to further ensure quality of product and process efficiencies.
•Assist in development of efficient and effective ways to use people, machines, materials and new technologies.
•Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
•Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
•Propose and document production systems to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability while adhering to industry standards.
•Work with equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, and managers to develop cost-effective and working production systems to improve production output.
•Design layout of equipment and workspaces in collaboration with engineers and teams.
•Provide engineering support to production and maintenance.
•Manage execution of capital projects.
•Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program and Quality Management System.
•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and training:
•Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, industrial, or manufacturing) required.
Experience:
•3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing and packaging environment preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
•Excellent computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Rockwell, etc.).
•Experience in CAD (2D and 3D modeling)
•Experience with electrical systems, controls systems, and mechanical layout of equipment.
•Demonstrates clear, concise and relevant communication (verbal and written) within and across departments.
•Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and seek input.
•Problem solving skills; ability to identify source of problem; execute solution and document the issue; escalate to management.
•Approach all interactions and work situations in a positive and respectful manner.
•Ability to prepare and present clear and accurate reports.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including weekends.

•Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day and at significant heights and on catwalks?
•Able to lift 25 lbs, frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs, and occasionally pushes/pulls up to 100 lbs.
•Exposure to moving machinery and mobile equipment, including electrical and electronic equipment.
•Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
•Frequent travel: valid driver’s license required.
