This position is responsible for providing procurement planning and scheduling services to operations and maintenance employees to ensure their plant reliability needs are met. In addition, this position assists with collecting budgetary data and creates reports, provides analysis, and makes recommendations associated with the station's O&M budget to ensure financial goals are achieved.
- Ensures timely procurement of all parts and tools required for work execution.
- Responsible for entire procurement process from requisition to receiver and ensures data is readily accessible; reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until closed.
- Establishes and maintains work order purchase requirement histories and ensures proper recordkeeping of materials purchased and received.
- Works with various staff to ensure accuracy and completion of requisition requests, including recommending material and vendor alternatives to ensure needs are met.
- Assists with identifying contractors who meet ISN requirements.
- Utilizes CMMS to monitor project status/progress and work orders in waiting material status; makes recommendations as needed to fulfill scheduling of crafts.
- Ensures the effective execution of all wait materials, predictive, corrective, and condition based maintenance activities in CMMS as outlined in the station's Work Process Optimization plan.
- Attends plant scheduling meeting and communicates information relating to parts and tools required for work execution.
- Maintains spreadsheets and project lists to provide information to internal staff.
- Utilizes various applications to provide financial/budget reports, graphs, and analyses to plant management; reviews reports and maintains expenditure controls; provides explanations for budget discrepancies.
- Assists in revising budgeted estimates and developing budgeting forecasts based on special projects.
- Serves as procure to pay subject matter expert for the station and provides training to other users.
- May assist with planning, as needed.
- Provides safety orientation to vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate¿s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- Knowledgeable in EKPC's Work Process Optimization program and station's WPO map-out structure.
- Knowledgeable in the terminology of gas turbine/generator, environmental control systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment relevant to electrical generating stations.
- Experience using PeopleSoft and CMMS.
- Ability to investigate, analyze, and determine O&M budget cost tracking.
- Ability to understand RUS and the links/dependencies of projects.
