Planning and Scheduling Representative

Job description:

Northedge Steel, the Midwest leader in steel carport and garage manufacturing and install, is looking to partner with a driven and self-motivated Scheduling Representative.

The scheduling representative plans, organizes, and directs all scheduling and routing activities for their assigned state at Northedge Steel. The goal of this role is to coordinate weekly installation schedules and ensure that projects are completed accurately and on time for our customers. Oversees state wide scheduling operations to ensure generation of optimal and economical routes based on company backlog, contractor capacity, and company safety guidelines . The scheduling representative is the primary point of contact for all scheduling inquiries and is responsible for providing accurate and timely lead-time estimates and order status information for their given location.

Responsibilities

- Detailed Capacity Planning

- Communication and coordination with Production Supervisors and CSR’s. The scheduling representative will oversee the scheduling, delivery and installation for all jobs in their area and work closely with the preconstruction, manufacturing, and contractor representatives to ensure schedules are completed in a timely manner for manufacturing and delivery.

- Ensuring geographic scheduling to reduce drive time and to enhance contractor satisfaction.

- Provides manpower planning and forecasting data, which is used to update lead times.

- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management.

- Responsible for assisting in planning for both internal and external production resources required to support customer delivery schedules.

Education:

- High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

- Project scheduling: 2 years (Preferred)

- Logistics: 2 years (Preferred)

- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
