Location: Edmonton or Slave Lake, Alberta
Employment Type: Full Time - Permanent
Salary Range: SP3, Level 5, $92,320 - $115,400 per year. The final compensation for this position will be determined based on individual factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This position may be eligible to receive a Northern Living allowance. Northern Living allowances are provided based on the location of the position and where an employee primarily works and resides.

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is currently recruiting for a Pipeline Inspector, Field Operations, Central to join the Regulatory Compliance (RC) branch.
As a Pipeline Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and environmental integrity of our operations. You will independently assess and respond to incidents and stakeholder complaints, conduct thorough compliance assurance activities, and represent the AER in various industry forums. This position not only allows you to work independently and with a dedicated and supportive team but also offers the chance to lead complex inspections and contribute to provincial initiatives. What your day-to-day will look like:* Lead and independently conduct complex inspections on pipeline systems to ensure they are constructed and operated in compliance with regulatory requirements. This also includes associated compliance aspects including potential impact to public land, protection of the environment and working with the public and indigenous groups.What we’re looking for in you:* Diploma in engineering, environmental sciences or other related education.
