Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pipe Cutter / Yard Labourer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to cut pipe in our dedicated cutting shack. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with various labour tasks in the pipe yard, including yard clean-up and swamping while containers are being destuffed. Shift: 9:30am to 6pm
Responsibilities
•Operate cutting and beveling equipment, including oxygen and acetylene torches, to cut pipe to specified lengths.
•Ensure all cutting operations are performed safely and in accordance with company standards.
•Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspection to ensure proper operation.
•Perform general yard duties such as clean-up with use of a John Deere 544K machine.
•Assist with container destuffing, including swamping duties.
•Support the yard team with various labour tasks as required.
•Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements
•Work Experience: experience with a oxygen/acetylene torch is prefered;
•Class 5 License: Class 5 with excellent driving skills and a clean driving record (abstract to be provided);
•Previous experience in a yard or warehouse setting is preferred but not required.
•Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
•Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
•Able to read, write, and understand English.
•Able to wear the required Person Protective Equipment (PPE), provided by the company (hard hat with chin strap, steel toed safety boots with metatarsal guards, safety glasses, fire retardant coveralls, gloves, etc.)
•Willingness to learn new skills and operate various types of equipment safely.
•Ability to perform physical labour in an outdoor environment.
