Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Manager to oversee the daily operations of our yard and ensure the efficient management of logistics and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, logistics, and fleet management, with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within the yard environment. This role is crucial for coordinating the movement of freight and ensuring that all operations run smoothly.
Duties
•
Manage day-to-day yard operations, ensuring efficient flow of freight and materials.
•
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
•
Implement best practices in logistics and distribution center operations.
•
Collaborate with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) to optimize shipping processes.
•
Monitor fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety regulations.
•
Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in sourcing, pricing, and package handling.
•
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
•
Train, supervise, and evaluate yard staff to enhance productivity and performance.
Requirements

Proven experience in operations management within a logistics or distribution center environment.
•
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external partners.
•
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
•
