The Land Administration Manager role is vital to the set-up and maintenance of the Company’s ownership records. The candidate should have experience in oil and gas lease, title, and division orders.
Job Description:
•Manage and direct the Land Administration staff responsible for the following duties:
•Establish and maintain accurate ownership decks by analyzing various legal documents such as title opinions, assignments, deeds, trusts, and estate documents with an emphasis on Texas and North Dakota properties and Louisiana mineral rights.
•Annual payment obligations on Leases and Infrastructure Agreements.
•Brief Leases, Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, Assignments, Farmouts and Letter Agreements to understand obligations, in order to set up in the Land software system.
•Work closely with Landman to research suspense accounts and title issues.
•Process ownership transfers based on title documents to maintain a correct division of interest and joint interest billing deck.
•Responds to division order inquiries to resolve ownership discrepancies.
•Communicates and corresponds directly with interest owners, property operators and non-operators.
•Work closely with other company departments, including Revenue, Joint Interest and General Accounting, Marketing, Insurance, Legal and Operations.
Job Requirements
•Managerial and supervisory experience related to Land Administration preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree required. Energy related field preferred.
•Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and other oil and gas websites and software.
•Experience in Quorum software preferred but not required.
•Excellent verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
•A working understanding of oil and gas leases, division orders and conveyance documents.
•Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform duties at a fast pace with a high level of accuracy.
•Have strong social skills and the ability to work well with others.
•An action-oriented personality with a strong sense of initiative, motivation, and drive.
