The Petroleum Compliance and Service B Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that all petroleum systems, installations, and equipment meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company specifications. The B Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, evaluating petroleum systems, identifying deficiencies, and providing recommendations for corrective actions. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Compliance and Service Manager.
Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of mechanical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
Evaluate Systems: Assess the condition, functionality, and performance petroleum storage and distribution systems to identify any issues or deficiencies.
Document Findings: Document inspection results, including observations, measurements, and any deviations from requirements. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
Provide Recommendations: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to develop solutions for addressing identified deficiencies. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and standards related to mechanical services. Ensure that all inspections and installations meet legal and safety requirements.
Communicate Effectively: Communicate inspection findings, recommendations, and requirements clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate Inspections: Schedule and coordinate inspections with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to facilitate timely and efficient completion of projects.
Monitor Progress: Monitor the progress of corrective actions to ensure timely implementation and resolution of identified issues. Conduct follow-up inspections as necessary.
Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, correspondence, and other relevant documentation. Ensure that all records are organized and easily accessible for reference and audit purposes.

Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in mechanical inspections, preferably in the construction or building services industry.
Strong knowledge of petroleum storage and distribution systems.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., International Mechanical Code, ASHRAE standards).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and documentation systems.
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year criminal background check.
