NSB Omega is searching for an American Petroleum Inspector for our MAJOR Oil & Gas Client in Freeport, TX.
Assignment Description
The ideal candidate will hold at least (2) API certifications (API510/API570/API653/API580) and have experience using the GE APM/Meridium software tool. This role is vital for technical guidance to the embedded inspection contractor and maintenance personnel, ensuring quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:•Assist the Chief inspector in reviewing inspection reports for static equipment including pressure vessels, piping, and tanks for data quality and code compliance.
•Work closely with the Mechanical Integrity Maintenance group for inspection and repair execution.
•Assist the lead inspector to provide method and timing guidance for repair recommendations.
•Assist the lead inspector and unit inspectors in reevaluation of repair recommendation backlog and validation of completed repairs.
•Stay updated with advancements in NDE techniques and industry practices.
•Assist the lead inspector in developing detailed work processes and training related to inspections and IDMS software (GE APM).
•Provide assistance in organizing and filing documentation to the equipment records.
•Collaborate with engineering disciplines, operations personnel, and management.
Qualifications:
•In-depth experience with API inspection codes, including API 510, API 570, and API 653.
•Detail-oriented, strong communication skills, collaborative, creative.
•Basic understanding of the concepts of probability and consequence, and how they affect risk levels of equipment in an RBI inspection program.
•Proficiency in GE APM software tool.
•Familiarity with Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and damage mechanism reviews.
•5+ years of experience with (2) or more API certifications
