Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare, submit, and track applications for required permits to support well plugging operations.
•Prepare, submit, and track date-sensitive post-plugging reports to ensure timely and accurate completion.
•Stay updated on industry regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental guidelines.
•Communicate with regulatory bodies, landowners, mineral owners, and stakeholders to facilitate timely permit approvals.
•Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, renewals, and compliance documentation.
•Assist project teams in understanding permit requirements, timelines, and compliance obligations.
•Address permitting challenges and work with internal and external teams to resolve regulatory obstacles.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Regulatory Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
•2+ years of experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, or environmental project coordination, ideally in the oil & gas industry.
•Strong understanding of state and federal well-plugging regulations (EPA, state-level environmental agencies, etc.) specific to assigned state of responsibility.
•Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and organizational priorities.
•Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills when working with regulatory agencies.
•Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple permit applications simultaneously.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS mapping tools, and permitting databases (preferred).
•Demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools that support overall plugging objectives.
