Key Responsibilities:
•Manage the end-to-end permitting process for new residential builds, major renovations, and estate-scale developments.
•Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to prepare and submit complete permit applications.
•Liaise with municipal planning, building, zoning, and environmental departments to expedite reviews and resolve issues.
•Track and manage all permits, variances, inspections, and approvals through each stage of the project lifecycle.
•Attend public hearings, community board meetings, or city planning sessions as necessary to represent the project.
•Maintain knowledge of evolving local, state, and federal codes applicable to luxury residential development.
•Coordinate permit close-out packages, including Certificates of Occupancy and all required sign-offs.
•Maintain an organized system for monitoring timelines, fees, resubmittals, and agency communication.
•Proactively identify and address potential permitting delays or code-related obstacles.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field preferred.
•Minimum 5+ years of experience in permitting or entitlement management, preferably with high-end residential or custom home projects.
•Deep familiarity with zoning ordinances, land use codes, and building regulations in high-end jurisdictions.
•Proven ability to build relationships with municipal agencies, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
•Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent applications.
•Excellent communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
•Proficiency in permit tracking systems, project management software, and document control platforms.
