As the Payroll Student, we will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented Payroll professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments. Building on classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to kick-start a successful career in Human Resources or Accounting.
- Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
- Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
- Term length: 12 months
- Term start: January 2026
- Safety sensitive position: No
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees by addressing their payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assign appropriate payroll personnel to emails using the payroll inbox and the Oracle HCM Help Desk Service Request system
- Verify, enter, and maintain employee records in HR Central, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Record employee changes in the benefits module
- Assist in UKG time and attendance entries
- Administer HUB Allowance program
- Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures
- Run, review, and prepare payroll reports and distribute for corrective action by the payroll team
- Other administrative tasks as assigned or required, including but not limited to document creation and filing
- Currently enrolled in your 1 st , 2 nd , or 3 rd year of a Human Resources or Accounting degree program
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic, motivated, takes initiative and effective time management and communication skills
- Proficient in Word and Outlook
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and data manipulation/reporting skills
