Parts Counter Sales Associate

JOB TITLE: Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate REPORTS TO: Manager and Assistant Manager JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt LOCATION: 637 Tifft Street Buffalo, NY 14220 HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Saturdays as needed. COMPENSATION: $17-20/HR, based on skills and experience.

Metalico Skyway is a Scrap Metal Recycling facility specializing in junk vehicle dismantling and used auto parts sales. Metalico Skyway also purchases all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. Vehicles come to Metalico Skyway when they are no longer road-worthy or worth repairing. Our employees remove the vehicle's valuable components, drain the vehicle's fluids, and place the vehicles in our yard with over 800 vehicles, where customers come and pull used car parts for purchase at the lowest prices!

The purpose of the Used Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate position is to respond to all customer inquiries regarding automotive used parts from walk-ins or phone calls. Record and track inquiries, to facilitate a successful sales process from start to finish. This person should develop a strong relationship with used car parts customers and junk vehicle sources. This position also plays a role in the purchasing of scrap vehicles. The Used Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate will be expected to thoroughly inspect all purchased vehicles, outdoors and in the elements (checking under the hood, checking the vehicle interior, checking the vehicle VIN number, etc.)
