TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair and maintenance service provider for Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base.

We are currently looking for an experienced Parts Coordinator/Driver - Component Repair to join our growing team in our Balzac, AB. location.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Materials, the Parts Coordinator/Driver will be expected to assist in all duties within the Materials department including the receiving, shipping, storing, issuing and handling of turbine parts and materials. This position requires the individual to be highly organized, have the ability to shift priorities at a moment’s notice, work at a strong pace while producing and maintaining an extremely high level of quality.
Duties
The duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
•Load and unload the CR Parts Truck and move/stage the parts in the designated areas using a pallet jack or forklift as needed. Must complete and pass internal forklift training course.
•Drive company vehicles such as the F650 or F250 to transport parts back and forth between Airdrie and Crosspointe. Driving company vehicles can only be done if individuals have taken and successfully passed the provided external driver training courses.
•Evaluate repair requirements and ensure the correct paperwork has been generated and stamped as required.
•Communicate with Team Lead /Cell Leads within Component Repair and TCT Inspection if any paperwork or part discrepancies are found.
•Enter parts into the CR tracking system.
•Organize and stage parts according to the kit date priority.
•Ensure parts are securely strapped/fastened so that they do not shift or can be damaged during transport.
•Coordinate with the Projects, Materials and CR Technicians to procure rotable and consumable materials needed for repairs.
•Provide positive engagement with all TCT personnel to achieve the company goal of “Best in Class” Operations.
•Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers
•Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
•Other duties as directed by the Component Repair Team Leader, Component Repair

Qualifications
•A minimum of 1 year related warehouse experience
•Previous order picking experience is an asset
•Basic computer skills (MS Office)

•Valid Alberta driver’s license
•Successful completion of a criminal background check
•Successful completion of a post-offer medical and drug & alcohol test
•Successful completion of in-house drivers training
•Driver's abstract required
•Ability to work shift work (Day & Afternoon shift rotation)
