Painter
Leading 90-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a Metal Painter
Job Responsibilities: Preparation, Painting and Finishing of Metal Products
Job Duties:
•
Prepare and paint metal surfaces using spray-painting equipment
•
Mix paints according to manufacturer’s specifications
•
Inspect surfaces for any needed repairs
•
Sand, mask, blend and finish to match surrounding areas and retouch paint as necessary
•
Use of appropriate PPE (Respiratory Protection, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Clothing, As Directed)
•
Adherence to company rules, safety program, standards and guidelines
•
Adherence to supervisor’s direction
•
Willingness to learn and be involved in various phases of production
Qualifications:
•
Two years’ experience with spray painting
•
Knowledge of paints, thinners and cleaners
•
Ability to identify materials by type and thickness
•
Ability to work overtime when required
•
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds.
•
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
