Job Summary

Outreach Specialist: Free Energy Savings Company/Quality Conservation Services (QCS) is a contractor in the Energy Services field. We make homes energy efficient by installing measures such as ceiling insulation, door weather-stripping, energy efficient lighting, new water heaters, new furnaces and other energy saving measures.

We have immediate openings for Outreach Specialists in our Victorville, CA office.

The primary responsibility of the Outreach Specialist is to canvass within a defined service territory with the goal of enrolling customers into company approved residential energy saving programs such as the Energy Savings Assistance Program (ESA) sponsored by the Southern California Gas Company (SoCal Gas) and SouthWest Gas Corporation. This position includes both phone and face-to-face interaction with homeowners, renters and business owners. No selling involved.

Successful candidates often come from similar fields such as alarm companies and solar companies.

Outreach Specialist Responsibilities:

- Secure leads and verify customer eligibility.

- Audit the customer's home for energy saving opportunities.

- Educate the customer about energy efficiency.

- Enroll customers in the energy saving program.

- Explain the process for installation of energy saving measures in their homes.

- Canvass neighborhoods for new customers.

Outreach Specialist Qualifications:

- Excel at field outreach and canvassing (door to door canvassing background very helpful).

- Bilingual capability a plus.

- Background in social work helpful.

- Background in general sales helpful.

- Must have great customer service skills.

- Produce accurate and legible paperwork.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must have a tablet.

- Clean driving background.

- Pass drug screen.

- Pass background check.

- Acquire Home Improvement Salesperson Certification/Registration (HISR) through the Contractors State License Board (finger printing required, paid by Company).

- Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
