New Jersey Outreach Specialist

Performance Systems Development (PSD) is seeking an Outreach Speicalist to recruit property owners and stakeholders to participate in our energy efficiency programs, building relationships and promoting program adoption through direct outreach and engagement. This role is customer-facing and focused on expanding program visibility and participation within the local community.

As an Outreach Specialist, you will:

- Recruit property owners, contractors, and community partners to participate in energy efficiency programs.

- Build relationships and engage directly with customers through meetings, events, and site visits.

- Provide guidance and support to participants on program requirements, tools, and incentives.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote program adoption and success.

- Support outreach campaigns, marketing efforts, and training sessions to expand program visibility.

- Reside in, and travel around, the state of New Jersey

This position reports to the Program Manager and plays a key role in helping PSD expand program participation and deliver measurable energy savings through effective outreach and customer engagement.

What You Bring

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

- Experience in outreach, marketing, sales, or customer service with a customer-first mindset.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, travel locally, and represent the program with professionalism.

Additional Details

- Physical Demands: Frequent use of the computer requires periods of sitting and close audio-visual concentration. Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations. Ability to drive in a car for long periods of time. Lift boxes of printer paper size.

- Work Environment: Office work is performed in an open and collaborative environment both virtually and on location. A home office space is required.

- Travel Requirements: Some local travel in state as needed
