You may have also acquired the following skills:

- Strong working knowledge of PC-based applications (Windows, Minitab, Excel, PowerPoint & simulation software)

- Strong problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis

- Strong written and verbal communications including report development and presentation and facilitation skills

- Proficient technical competency in Lean Six Sigma skills: DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, change management and advanced statistical technique

- Aptitude to lead others; experience coaching and delivering training at all levels of the organization

- Knowledge and experience utilizing LEAN problem-solving tools (A3, 8D, Process Mapping)

- Ability to lead, motivate and effect change through others

- Knowledge of change management and ability to influence change

- Strong facilitator of meetings and continuous improvement events in order to lead the organization in A3s, 8Ds, 5S etc.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel

- Excellent organizational skills

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management

- Ability to change priorities quickly, lead independently, and work well as part of a team

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Operational Excellence Leader in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Under moderate supervision this position is responsible for assisting management in the development of a vision to systematically improve business operations on an on-going basis. Your work will include:

- Responsible for developing a continuous improvement culture using Lean tools in a pragmatic manner to implement timely, value-added change within the business.

- Provide leadership in driving culture changes needed to build support & participation in operational improvement initiatives.

- Drive to increase visibility of operational waste and ineffectiveness with an objective of chartering and implementing actions to address these issues:

- Conduct Training

- Quality & Continuous Improvement (A3 Problem Solving, Manager in Field, 8D Event Resolution, Visual Management)

- FMEA facilitation.

- Workshop Mode (VSM, 5S, Process Mapping, etc.)

- Facilitate / Coach

- Here & Now Meetings, A3 Projects, FMEA (and other Quality Tools), Voice of the Customer, 8D Event Resolution, Visual Management Meetings

- Evaluate long and short-term effectiveness of corrective/preventative actions. Identify areas where these actions have not been effective and interface with applicable manager to provide additional actions.

- Support Operating Unit Implementation Initiatives

- Master Plan (annual objective) Development and Maintenance

- Digital Transformation (Process Mapping and associated A3s for Digital T.)

- Reporting

- VoC (based on Net Promoter Score), Excelle in Quality, FMEA, A3 Progress, Master Plan

- Perform detailed trend analysis using performance indicators developed to identify adverse trends and declining performance. Identify both good and bad findings to management and ensure management takes adequate action to address degrading or unacceptable conditions or performance.

- Interface with Global OpEx Network

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
