Job Summary :
The Operations Manager of Retail is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of Molo Companies store portfolio. This leadership role ensures the seamless execution of daily operations, drives profitability, enhances customer experience, and maintains brand standards across locations. The Operations Manager will lead a team of divisional managers and store managers, foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation while align operations with the company’s strategic goals.o Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
o Collaborate with senior leadership to align retail operations with company objectives and growth plans.
o Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost efficiencies, and market expansion.
o Oversee daily operations of all convenience stores, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, inventory turnover, labor costs, and customer feedback to drive performance.
o Implement and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across all locations.
o Recruit, train, and mentor regional and store managers to build a high-performing team.
o Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes employee engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure team alignment with company goals.
o Champion initiatives to enhance customer experience, including store cleanliness, product availability, and service quality.
o Analyze customer feedback and market trends to implement improvements that drive loyalty and satisfaction.
o Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
o Analyze financial reports to identify trends, address variances, and implement corrective actions.
o Negotiate vendor contracts to optimize pricing and ensure reliable supply chains.
o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as food safety standards.
o Mitigate operational risks by implementing robust loss prevention and security measures.
o Lead the adoption of new technologies, such as point-of-sale systems, inventory management tools, or customer-facing apps, to improve efficiency and experience.
o Support the development and launch of new location, including site selection, setup, and staffing.
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
o 7+ years of experience in retail operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within convenience stores, QSR, and similar industries.
o Proven track record of driving sales growth, operational efficiency, and team performance.
o Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, P&L, and KPIs.
o Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
o Knowledge of convenience store operations, including inventory management, vendor relations, and regulatory compliance.
o Ability to travel regularly to store locations as needed.
o Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, based on operational demands.
o Proficiency in retail management software and data analysis tools.
o Experience with multi-unit retail operations and franchise models.
o Familiarity with modern retail technologies (e.g., POS systems, automated inventory tools).
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
