A JAB Recruitment client is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Supervisor
to oversee the coordination of maintenance activities on one of its offshore production assets in the Gulf of Mexico. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of facility operations by optimizing the planning and execution of all maintenance work—preventive, corrective, and campaign-based. The successful candidate will have a strong planning mindset, a deep understanding of offshore operations, and the ability to lead across functions in a high-performance environment.
Location & Rotation
•Offshore production facility – Gulf of Mexico (Deepwater)
•Standard rotation: 14/14 (subject to client scheduling)
•Must hold valid U.S. work authorization or visa for Gulf of Mexico deployment
•Must be authorized to work in the US / Gulf of Mexico indefinitely without present or future need for visa sponsorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop, maintain, and optimize the 28-day and 90-day maintenance plans in line with company production strategies and maintenance standards.
•Own the weekly and daily planning cycles, ensuring efficient coordination of maintenance, operations, and integrity inspection tasks.
•Manage inputs and updates to the SAP PM system, including work orders, material lists, duration estimates, and job plans.
•Schedule and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary offshore maintenance crews, ensuring safe and timely execution aligned with PTW and SIMOPS requirements.
•Identify, plan for, and mitigate any interruptions to work caused by logistics, weather, equipment unavailability, or safety constraints.
•Liaise closely with the onshore support teams (planning, procurement, engineering) to align resources and resolve offshore constraints.
•Analyze maintenance KPIs (schedule attainment, backlog, wrench time) and report deviations to drive continuous improvement.
•Assist in planning shutdowns, turnarounds, and campaign maintenance, working alongside engineering, operations, and third-party contractors.
•Provide leadership in daily maintenance meetings and contribute to field-level decision-making.
•Support Operational Excellence goals by improving maintenance predictability, reliability, and workforce productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
•6+ years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience in offshore oil & gas or heavy industry
•Previous offshore experience with a deep-water operator or contractor, ideally in the Gulf of Mexico
•Proficient in SAP PM and maintenance planning software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
•Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a multi-discipline maintenance setting
•Strong working knowledge of permit-to-work systems, offshore logistics, isolation planning, and SIMOPS
•Familiarity with BSEE, BOEM, API and other regulatory standards applicable to offshore U.S. assets
REQUIRED CERTIFICTIONS:
•OPITO-approved BOSIET (incl. HUET & CA-EBS)
•Valid Offshore Medical Certificate (per GoM standards)
•Permit-to-Work, Hazard Awareness, and Emergency Response Training (client-specific onboarding will be provided)
