SCHEDULE
Rotation: 4 weeks on//4 weeks off
POSITION OVERVIEW : Offshore Site Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Promote a high focus on HSE in all phases of the operation and from all contractors
•Plan and coordinate port operations, including management of client’s equipment on site
•Coordinate and manage interfaces between contractors at the load-out port
•Oversee the planning and execution of the load-out and seafastening (performed by 3rd parties), according to approved method statements and risk assessment
•Coordinate with other construction packages
•Act, behave and lead by example according to client’s values
•Ensure work is executed according to method statements and risk assessment
•Oversee and manage client’s equipment on the Feeder Vessel and at the load-out port, including planning service / recertification of equipment as required
•Prepare and issue request for quotations for materials and equipment and schedule delivery / installation of the same
•Facilitate MWS and CVA site attendance as required
•Coordinate and align plans for upcoming cycles with client’s Installation Managers and Offshore Construction Manager
•Coordinate the work of the main contractors, i.e. the Terminal Operator, Installation Vessel Owners, Feeder Vessel Owners and WTG Installation Contractor and liaise with the contractor representatives on site
•Arrange daily progress / coordination meetings for load-out operations
•Monitor and report progress of construction activities relative to program, including the WTG Installation Contractor’s component delivery, pre-assembly and readiness for load-out
•Port operations and load-out operations lookahead
•Minutes from daily progress meetings
•Repetitive Certificates of Approval (CoA) for load-out operations
REQUIREMENTS
•Excellent communication skills, highly self-motivated and organized. Can-do and collaborative attitude
•Around 5 years of experience with relatable on or offshore construction e.g., heavy lifts, transporting heavy loads or loadouts, Marine Warranty Survey, vessel inspections
•Experience in project and construction management, ideally within offshore construction
•Technical knowledge and understanding of offshore construction, lifting operations and marine operations
•High focus on quality and safety
•IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
•Speak, read and write English fluently
•Ability to work in the US
PREFERRED
•GWO Basic Safety Training (Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling)
•OGUK Medical certificate including Chester Step Test, or approved equivalent
•Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience within offshore wind, preferably with WTGs or foundations
•Experience from working as a Client Rep and/or Site Manager within WTG or foundation installation
•Relevant training / certifications in safety management, e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or similar HSE training
•Experience with planning and execution of heavy lifts, transportation of heavy loads, loadouts
•Experience with quality inspections and documentation
•Experience with client’s offshore wind projects as (i.e. familiarity with client’s DPR and Synergi reporting)
•Recommended to have relevant marine awareness education
CONTRACT TERM
17 month contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full-time employee
