Overview
We are seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee operations in our industrial steel fabrication shop during night hours. The ideal candidate will ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards, while effectively communicating with a diverse workforce in both English and Spanish.
- Supervise and coordinate night shift activities, including fabrication, welding, and machining equipment processing.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate work assignments clearly in English and Spanish.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance standards.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production, attendance, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with day shift supervisors and management for seamless workflow continuity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in steel fabrication or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, machining and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work overnight hours and in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a steel fabrication environment for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery.
