Purpose of Role:Are you passionate about information technology and interested in contributing to Canada’s defence capability? Weir Marine Engineering has a requirement for a Networking Infrastructure Specialist to work in an environment like no other. You will apply your extensive technical expertise and industry proven skills to the design of IT solutions for Canada’s future warships, the River-class Destroyers. You will work with hardware- and software-based networking infrastructure involving tactical, enterprise and cloud networks. This is a very technical position involving investigation, analysis, systems engineering and hands-on work with innovative information systems. See the vision evolve from highly secure design, through meticulous testing and documentation, to validation and deployment in production environments. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position with no on-call requirement or direct user support. Some work must be performed on-site, but most can be completed either remotely or on-site, at your choice.
