Purpose of Role: Are you passionate about information technology and interested in contributing to Canada’s defence capability ? Weir Marine Engineering has a requirement for an Enterprise Infrastructure Services Specialist to work in an environment like no other. You will apply your extensive technical expertise and industry proven skills to the design of IT solutions for Canada’s future warships, the River-class Destroyers. You will work with Identity Credentials Access Management (ICAM), e-mail and messaging, Certificate Authority (CA), Entra and Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) supporting tactical, enterprise and cloud networks. This is a very technical position involving investigation, analysis, systems engineering and hands-on work with innovative information systems. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position with no on-call requirement or direct user support. Some work must be performed on-site, but most can be completed either remotely or on-site, at your choice.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Client and Industry Interaction: Interact with clients, contracted industry partners, operational/technical stakeholders and the Royal Canadian Navy to understand, derive and develop project requirements (functional, performance, availability, security, etc.);

•

System Design: Develop comprehensive technical and systems engineering documentation by following well-established system and security engineering processes and using structured templates;

•

Technical Execution: Conduct technical investigations, proof of concepts and evaluations, produce optimized configurations and implementation procedures, develop test plans, conduct testing and support the fielding of production systems in land-based validation environments and directly onboard Canada’s future warships;

•

Team Collaboration: Participate and contribute in internal and external project review, coordination and progress scrums, sprints and meetings, and support quality objectives through peer reviews; and

•

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

•

Ten or more years of relevant IT technical experience;

•

Experience in the use of systems and security engineering practices and methodologies;

•

Strong working knowledge and experience in the following areas:

+ ICAM/IAM using Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure services including enterprise multi-domain ADDS with Azure integration, AD Federation Services and SSO leveraging SAML/OpenID; + Data Centric Security (DCS) standards and products, two-factor security, data labeling and identify based access controls; + Cloud and hybrid cloud configurations and migrations; and + Automation with focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setups via Microsoft PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python and/or other scripting tools;

•

Fast learner, proactive, responsive, self-driven and autonomous, excellent organizational skills, takes ownership, demonstrates pride in their work, and pays very high attention to detail; and

•

Canadian citizenship, with 10 or more years residing in Canada with no periods longer than six continuous months out of country, is absolutely necessary as part of the requirements to obtain a government security clearance to the minimum level of Secret.

Responsabilités principales:

•

Interaction avec les clients et l’industrie : Interagir avec les clients, les partenaires industriels sous contrat, les parties prenantes opérationnelles et techniques, ainsi qu’avec la Marine royale canadienne afin de comprendre, définir et développer les exigences du projet (fonctionnelles, de performance, de disponibilité, de sécurité, etc.);

•

Conception des systèmes : Rédiger une documentation technique et d’ingénierie des systèmes complète en suivant des processus bien établis en ingénierie des systèmes et de la sécurité, à l’aide de modèles structurés;

•

Exécution technique : Mener des enquêtes techniques, des preuves de concept et des évaluations, produire des configurations optimisées et des procédures de mise en œuvre, élaborer des plans de test, effectuer les essais et soutenir le déploiement des systèmes de production dans des environnements de validation terrestres ainsi qu’à bord des futurs navires de guerre du Canada;

•

Collaboration en équipe : Participer et contribuer aux revues de projet internes et externes, aux réunions de coordination, aux scrums et sprints de suivi de l’avancement, et soutenir les objectifs de qualité par le biais de revues entre pairs;

•

Connaissances professionnelles, formation et qualifications:

•

Dix ans ou plus d'expérience technique pertinente en informatique ;

•

Expérience dans l’utilisation de pratiques et de méthodologies en ingénierie des systèmes et de la sécurité ;

•

Solide connaissance pratique et expérience dans les domaines suivants :

+ ICAM/IAM utilisant les services d’infrastructure Microsoft Windows Server, y compris un environnement Active Directory multi-domaines avec intégration Azure, les services de fédération AD et l’authentification unique (SSO) via SAML/OpenID; + Normes et produits de sécurité centrée sur les données (DCS), sécurité à deux facteurs, étiquetage des données et contrôles d’accès basés sur l’identité; + Configurations et migrations infonuagiques et hybrides; + Automatisation, avec un accent sur les configurations d’infrastructure en tant que code (IaC) à l’aide de Microsoft PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python et/ou d’autres outils de script;

•

Apprend rapidement, proactif(ve), réactif(ve), autonome et motivé(e), possède d’excellentes compétences en organisation, fait preuve d’initiative, démontre de la fierté dans son travail et accorde une attention particulière aux détails;

Obtention d'une cote de sécurité du gouvernement du Canada, qui exige la citoyenneté canadienne et la résidence continue au Canada au cours des 10 dernières années au minimum, sans périodes de plus de six mois consécutifs à l'étranger.
