We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Representative to join our Commercial Waste Services team. This role is designed for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hunting-focused environment. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term partnerships with clients.
- Prospect and Develop New Business: Actively identify, target, and engage potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and propose tailored waste management solutions. Educate prospects on service differentiation, pricing, and value during and after the sales process
- Conduct Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Onsite Visits: Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to present services, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Collaborate Internally: Work closely with Pricing & Implementation team to ensure seamless implementation of services for new accounts. Follow up after sales to achieve referrals and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain CRM Records: Track and document all sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward goals in the company’s CRM system.
- Track Productivity: Deliver accurate sales forecasts-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
- Travel: Some regional travel expected, and occasional off hours/weekends for customer’s needs.
- Maintain: High level of integrity, commitment, and trust to exceed expectations in sales and retention of customer accounts.
- Remote: Remote work with some office time expected.
- Networking: Some networking events/trade show attendance required.d.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years in outside sales, preferably in a hunting role. Experience in the waste & recycling industry or a related field is a plus.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-Motivated: Highly driven and organized, with a proactive approach to prospecting and closing sales.
- Adaptability: Ability to understand and communicate technical information.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel locally within the assigned territory.
- Proficient: In Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Windows software applicationsCompensation: $50,000 + (based on experience) / + Commission
