Mechanic II – Fleet Maintenance

Location: Tacoma (Remote) | Company: World Fuel Services

At World Fuel Services, we don’t just move fuel—we move industries. As a Mechanic II, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our fleet safe, efficient, and compliant. You’ll work hands-on with a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring our operations run smoothly and our customers stay powered.

Pay

•

$30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience

•

+$2 for being a mobile mechanic

•

+$2 if you hold a CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.

What You’ll Do

•

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on company vehicles and equipment.

•

Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and tank testing in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

•

Maintain and troubleshoot meters and other fuel delivery systems.

•

Create and maintain accurate service logs and documentation.

•

Collaborate with drivers, operations, and safety teams to ensure fleet readiness.

•

Keep tools and shop equipment clean, safe, and in top condition.

•

Support additional shop and field tasks as needed.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that includes:

•

Internal: Fleet Managers, Regional Operations, Safety & Training Teams, Drivers

•

External: Vendors, Repair Shops, Equipment Manufacturers, Technology Providers

What You Bring

•

Experience: 8+ years in fleet maintenance or mechanical repair

•

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

•

Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

•

Proficiency with DVIR reviews, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance

•

Familiarity with MS Office, Zoom, Teams, and maintenance systems like PlanetFM

•

CDL Class A or B with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements (preferred)
