Role

We are seeking a Mine Manager to join our Operations and Project teams. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the third-party mining contractor(s) through the construction and operations readiness periods and the production period to ensure the Thacker Pass Project's operations and business objectives are met. The ideal candidate will have proven management experience with new mine development, project planning, and execution of large capital projects, as well as development of greenfield or brownfield start-ups utilizing open pit mining methods and mine planning. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.

The role is based at our Winnemucca, NV office during construction and transition to the Thacker Pass Project during commissioning and throughout production and will report to the Site Operations Director. This position will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Project Director during the construction period, providing additional oversight. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.
