Detailed Job Description PURPOSE

CST Canada Coal Limited (CST Coal) is seeking an

to join our Resource Management Team. The incumbent is responsible for performing field assessments, data collection, and data analysis while ensuring these deliverables satisfy project deadlines. This position requires the incumbent to liaise with various departments, stakeholders, and consultants to ensure inspections and field data collection are complete and in compliance with the Coal Conservation Act (CCA) and the Public Lands Act (PLA).

The Mine Technician reports to the Regulatory Coordinator, who is responsible for mentoring, supervising, and adjusting the incumbents work plan and responsibilities.

The Mine Technician will be responsible for completing a designated number of hours in both office and field components. The Technicians work plan will specify the timelines required for all tasks, however the work plan is subject to change as mining plans change. WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be on an EDO schedule where the individual will work 9-hour days and receive every second Friday off to help facilitate work/life balance. This position includes both office and fieldwork.

Please be advised there are no camp facilities available. All employees who are based at the mine site will qualify for the Living Out Allowance Benefit OR can choose to use company provided housing if available.

As a condition of employment, the incumbent is required to comply with pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol testing as per the Drug and Alcohol Policy. Personal protective equipment will include the use of an approved hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, hearing protection, protective clothing and gloves, and safety vest.
