Meter Technician, Apprentice

Primary Function

Under direct supervision, performs work at a semi-skilled level, inspects, tests, calibrates, maintains and repairs KWH meters and associated equipment in the shop or in the field, determines when KWH meters are obsolete or beyond repair, maintains records on all KWH meters. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school equivalency, supplemental college or technical courses in electricity or electronics and one year of electrical and electronic equipment repair and maintenance experience is preferred.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.

Other Requirements/Testing

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
