Rhode Island Energy is seeking a dedicated, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Meter Service Representative to join our dynamic customer meter services team. In this critical role, you will be on the front lines of utility service, helping to ensure the accuracy of meter readings, the safety of our communities, and the reliability of energy delivery across our service territory.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

- Perform Off-Cycle meter reading (Pedestrian, soft off – on)

- Perform Physical offs

- Perform ERT (Electronic Reading Transmitter) changes

- Perform Leak Survey and Leak Survelliance (including leak classification)

- Perform Wires down standby

- Perform field training as directed by the Company

- Assist CMS personnel as assigned and on two-person assignments as needed

- Drive and operate CMS vehicles and equipment as required

- Proper utilization of vehicles and equipment, advising proper authorities when vehicle repair or maintnenace is required

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

- Must have high school diploma or GED

- Must pass the EEI CAST Test

- Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgement

- Must have the ability to perform physically demanding CMS related activities

- Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests to enter Department

- Must have valid driver's license and be an approved driver of Company vehicles

- Must be able to work shifts

- DOT drug testing is a requirement for this position
