Role Overview
De-burr, buff, blend, clean, grind, mask, and polish components/parts in accordance with company quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
•Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
•File, sand, de-burr or polish parts.
•Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines.
•Manipulate work piece or tool manually.
•Develop and/or recommend techniques and parameters for blending/polishing.
•Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications.
•Move machine control and guides to adjust machine.
•Replace worn machine accessories such as wheels and polish belts.
•Dress wheel for proper contour of work piece.
•Perform masking and cleaning operations.
•Perform machine maintenance as required
Requirements
•At least 18 years of age.
•High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
•Applicants must be US Citizens of the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
•Ability to pass routine background check and drug test per company policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
•Prior experience in a manufacturing or precision mechanical assembly environment.
•Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
•Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions, short correspondence and memos.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
•Ability to operate and understand using both SAE and Metric units of measure.
•Ability to understand and follow instructions (written, spoken, or shown in diagrams) and to solve basic problems with a few variables.
