The
Media Analytics & Ad Ops Managerwill be responsible for leading and delivering media analytics for the Americas region, ensuring best-in-class ad operations and analytics practices. This role will collaborate closely with paid media teams, business analytics, and the global marketing analytics function to design, implement, and optimize media data solutions that drive actionable insights and measurable business impact.
The role will involve managing the delivery of all media analytics projects for North America and LATAM, collaborating with our paid media teams, business analytics, and our global marketing analytics team to drive best-in-class in media data solutions and insights. This role will ensure that analytics outputs align with business objectives and deliver measurable value to the company. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of media analytics and its application within the business context.
How You Make An Impact (Job Accountabilities)
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track daily media performance across campaigns in North America and LATAM. Proactively identify positive trends, negative variances, anomalies, or operational issues. Collaborate with traders and leadership to address opportunities and challenges in real time. Ensure traders and media leadership are aware of trends (negative and/or positive) as well as any anomalies or issues
- Media Analytics & Dashboard Management: Create and maintain media dashboards that meet the needs of various key stakeholders (media leadership, marketing leadership, traders and C-Suite). Ensure dashboards are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Reporting Enhancement & Insight Delivery: Recommend and implement improvements to reporting methodologies. Provide concise, impactful insights that inform leadership and brand marketing team decisions.
- Industry & Analytics Best Practices: Stay current on emerging analytics tools, methodologies, and industry trends specific to media performance measurement. Assess and adopt new solutions to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy. Develop campaign measurement frameworks and ensure alignment between daily analytics support and approved frameworks
- Cross-Functional Communication: Present media campaign performance and creative effectiveness insights to the broader marketing organization, global teams, and senior leadership. Translate complex analytics into clear, business-relevant narratives.
- Marketing Mix Modeling Support: Lead paid media data collection for MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) initiatives. Serve as the liaison with external marketing analytics partners (e.g., Circana).
- Ad Operations & Tagging Accuracy: Ensure all campaigns are properly tagged and follow consistent naming conventions. Partner with media buyers to align on campaign setup for optimal reporting and analytics outputs.
- This individual will have daily contact with NA Media Strategy & Operations Lead and Paid Media Traders. This individual will have regular contacts with both the North America and LATAM marketing teams, North America Analytics Director, Valvoline Global Brand Equity Team and Americas Leadership. They will also maintain regular contact with Circana and other outside marketing analytics vendors with the objective of assuring Valvoline Global Operations media analytics, ad ops and measurement solutions are executed with best practices and winning vs competition. This individual should be adept at communicating with people across borders, especially the US, Canada and Mexico.
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in analytics, with at least 6 of those years specifically working in paid media analytics.
- Must have worked in a fast-paced, data-driven, performance-minded environment (example, media agency or tech start up)
- Skill mastery in connecting media ad platforms to dashboarding technology, as well as reporting on media performance with insights that will move the business forward.
- Detailed knowledge of media, how it works, how it is bought/sold, as well as algorithms that impact performance from various media buying platforms.
- Proven track record delivering insights that drive growth and revenue.
- Prefer someone who is keen on understanding and using AI tools to best optimize their work.
- Experience working with data from Google Analytics, The Trade Desk, Google, CM360 and Meta required.
- Experience working with data from Shopify, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, DV360, TikTok preferred.
- Experience creating & implementing tags in Google Tag Manager and Google CM360 preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully working in and collaborating across a remote working environment.
- Proficient in SQL and web analytics platforms (e.g., Ad serving tools, Google Analytics).
- Strong foundation in statistics, including regression, probability, hypothesis testing, and sampling.
- Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Datorama, and PowerBI.
- Advanced Excel skills with a sharp analytical mindset to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics, advertising tech, and performance marketing.
- Experience with paid digital media buying, KPI development, and campaign execution.
- Knowledge of modern eCommerce strategies and emerging digital platforms.
- Proven ability to develop data-driven business insights and marketing strategies.
- Experience leading complex marketing technology projects from ideation to implementation.
- Background in market segmentation, customer analytics, and competitive benchmarking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders and clients.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in agency or corporate environments.
- Track record of leading teams, ensuring accuracy and quality of analysis deliverables.
- Adept at building relationships with internal teams and external tech/research partners.
- High integrity, self-motivation, and a “can-do” mindset—both a thinker and a doer.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements
- Remote in the United States or Mexico, or in person in Lexington, KY or Guadalajara, MX. Wherever based, must be willing to work on EST. If based in Mexico, must be fully fluent in English language, both written and spoken.
