ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will be a combined role with Project/Mechanical Engineering work. The role will include specifying of facility equipment and packages including process equipment, pumps, compressors, vessels, and a variety of other components in production facilities – primarily in oil and gas. Additional work includes Construction Deliverables, Material Requisitions, facilitating meetings, capturing meeting notes and minutes and other engineering deliverables will be areas of responsibility as will managing the scope, budget and schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mechanical/Project Engineer will be responsible for the following scope:
•Define, specify, and manage vendor packages
•Monitor and review vendor materials for quality and assure client specification compliance
•Create mechanical engineering deliverables for EPFC scope:
Datasheets
Material Requisitions
Technical and commercial bid evaluations
Plot plans
Mechanical Equipment, SP Items, Tie-in List
•Support Project Manager with the execution of projects including the design of plans, estimates, and project change management.
•Verify and complete requests for proposals, estimates and other technical documents as required by the client.
•Facilitate meetings capturing meeting notes and minutes for dissemination to participants.
•Interface with project controls personnel on an on-going basis – i.e., scope control, cost control, schedule control and risk control.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
•Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
•Registered P.Eng. designation with APEGA or EGBC viewed as a benefit.
•Demonstrates awareness of health, safety and environment issues and commitment to address these issues.
•Well organized and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and activities concurrently.
•Able to articulate and communicate concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner. Understands how to receive and manage constructive directives in a professional manner.
•Is comfortable and able to engage in discussion with peers, highly technical personnel, clients and executives.
•Is a self starter who takes the initiative and has the drive to complete work efforts in a coordinated and timely fashion.
