Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
HD is currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•Registered with APEGS, P.Eng. designation with ability to sign and stamp engineering documents
•Knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to mechanical engineering
•Skilled in the design of material handling and piping systems for industrial applications
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organizational and project planning skills
•People oriented with an ability to establish relationships, credibility and trust
The following experience is considered an asset:
•Permission to consult in Saskatchewan
•Industrial and on-site experience
•Mobile equipment, heavy industrial equipment, or mining equipment
•Experience developing piping specifications
•Fabrication and machine design
•Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D and 3D
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include:
•Mechanical engineering and design
•Hand calculations, finite element analysis, and discrete element analysis
•Design industrial and commercial mechanical equipment, components, and systems
•Analyzing problems and deficiencies, making assumptions and developing solutions to resolve
•Drawing reviews and checking
•Field checking and verification at various shops or client facilities
•Equipment, fabrication inspections, and commissioning
•Provide estimates for use on proposals and projects
•Creation and preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, equipment specifications
•Preliminary engineering studies
•Establishing and improving client relationships
•Project coordination duties such as tracking and reporting
•Contributing to project reports, in collaboration with project team members
•Holding team members accountable for their actions and individual responsibilities
•Maintaining project schedules and budgets, staying aware of project progress
•Work at client mine sites and other client facilities
•Other tasks as required to meet our client and operational requirements

•40 hours per week, or 80 hours over two-week payroll period
•Overtime as required to meet operational and client requirements

Compensation
