The Mechanical Maintenance Shift Supervisor has the responsibility for oversight of Maintenance and Maintenance Support Technicians in the performance of installation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of the ACP equipment and facilities. The position supervises personnel in the maintenance of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, and instrumentation and controls. The Maintenance Shift Supervisor is also responsible for supervising other maintenance activities, such as painting, carpentry, sheet metal and machinist activities.
- Assigns, schedules and instructs personnel in maintenance of equipment monitoring, data collection equipment and the maintenance of centrifuges and supporting systems in accordance with approved procedures
- Prepare weekly work schedules for technician, ensuring qualified personnel are available to complete assigned work and approve hours worked
- Monitors work of assigned areas for compliance with procedures, and directs maintenance activities using approved procedures, work instruction, or test plans
- Instructs employees in safety, environmental, quality assurance, and security-related matters
- Accountable for materials, parts and supplies under their jurisdiction
- Perform closeout and review work orders
- Perform reviews of drawings and procedures to ensure electrical guidelines are followed
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
- Enforces and adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security and environmental and safety program requirements
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- Associate of Science in Engineering, Physical Sciences or equivalent technical experience, with a high school diploma or GED or; successful completion of the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
- Within the past eight (8) years, must have three (3) years of plant maintenance experience in the chemical, nuclear, power generation, or pharmaceutical industries or US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
- Must be able to travel for training and development as requested by management
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule and meet the Physical Demands of the position, which include climbing to elevated heights, bending, stopping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 51 pounds
- Must be able to work overtime as required
