Tempel is America’s largest manufacturer of magnetic laminations for the motor and transformer industry, dating back to 1945. Our facility in Burlington Ontario has been in operation since 1975.
Our primary products out of this location are Wound Distributed Gap Cores, Mitre and Butt Lap Laminations, Logs and Fully Assembled Cores, Steel Sales, Custom Slitting and warehousing for Tempel Steel’s Laminations.
Work Schedule: 8 hour shifts, days (Monday - Friday)
- Accomplishes maintenance human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and production equipment by conferring with operating departments; identify inefficiencies and areas that can be improved; make weekly suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and production equipment by using a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
- Improves function and reliability of facility systems and production equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
- Allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Ensure parts inventory is well stocked and place orders for replacement parts and other items as needed.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Ensure compliance and commitment to the effectiveness of the ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements during daily operations.- 5 + years relevant experience in Maintenance/Millwright function
- Licensed 433A Industrial Millwright
