Mechanical / Industrial Entry Level Inside Sales Representative

Position Overview:

GCB Industries is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our growing sales organization. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree looking to start their career in technical sales and develop into future Estimators, Project Managers, or Outside Sales Representatives.

The Inside Sales Rep will generate and qualify leads, create quotes, support project development, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role requires technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responding to inbound inquiries and follow up on leads; converting them into active opportunities

· Generate quotes, review scope with technical teams, and ensure accuracy in pricing

· Maintain accurate records of interactions and opportunities in NetSuite CRM

· Collaborate with estimators and field operations to develop turnkey proposals

· Support the Outside Sales team by scheduling customer site visits and preparing project documentation

· Perform project handoffs to Project Managers once opportunities are won

· Follow up with customers post-sale for feedback and future needs

· Assist in prospecting new accounts in target industries (commercial, healthcare, institutional, light/heavy industrial)

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or related field)

· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite or similar CRM preferred

· Ability to read technical drawings and understand mechanical systems a plus

· Self-starter with a customer-first mindset
