About The Role

Join our team as a Mechanical Craftsperson – Mobile Maintenance at Kennecott Copper in Salt Lake County, Utah. In this role, you'll be part of the Kennecott Asset Management department, focusing on the maintenance of heavy mobile equipment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our operations.


Responsibilities

Engage actively in discussions and initiatives that promote our “Zero Harm” safety culture.
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical components on large haulage trucks and support equipment, adhering to MSHA standards and standard work instructions.
Work closely with Maintenance Support to develop safe and efficient standard work instructions, drive maintenance improvements, and implement cost-saving initiatives.


What You’ll Need

A strong dedication to performing tasks safely and intelligently.
Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts (both days and nights).
Relevant experience in heavy industry/mining or a mechanical trade.
Competency in welding, basic hydraulics, and mechanical/electrical
