Under general supervision, performs skilled repair, adjustment, tune-up, overhaul and maintenance on both gasoline and diesel heavy equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school equivalency, and two years as a Mechanic I or three years of progressively skilled experience in repair, adjustment, tune-up, overhaul and maintenance on both gasoline and diesel heavy equipment.
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California commercial class "A" driver's license with applicable endorsement(s) during the initial six months from date of hire.

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
