Materials Coordinator

Job Objective:

 This position will have diverse responsibilities, including project planning and scheduling, cost

tracking, procurement, and documentation. Contributes to a project team supporting projects

from early-stage engineering through construction.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 Support project management in Requests for Proposal preparation and bid evaluations.

 Assist Material Coordinators with material procurement for projects.

 Create and route project requisitions.

 Create purchase orders (POs) and manage contractor communication via the FS2 Portal. Assist and audit

Site View entries.

 Review and validate vendor invoices. Ensures project invoices are accurately prepared and submitted

timely.

 Develops and maintains regular cost reports.

 Monitor expected and actual delivery dates of materials.

 Collect, analyze, and report committed and actual costs for the project.

 Update monthly project forecast in the cost controls system.

 Perform cost variance analysis.

 Monitor project budgets and contract commitments.

 Participate in creating and implementing cost controls system and processes.

 Generate ad-hoc reporting upon request.

Other Job Responsibilities:

 Make occasional field trips.

 Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping

information confidential.

Qualifications:

 Competent in SharePoint, Projects for the Web, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite applications

 Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls and material procurement

 Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team-

oriented environment.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively
