Material Handler
Primary Responsibilities
•Safely load, unload, and transport electrical materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, warehouses, and staging areas.
•Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and organize inventory.
•Assist electricians by delivering necessary materials to designated work areas, ensuring timely availability to support project schedules.
•Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies.
•Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety training sessions.
•Collaborate with warehouse and project management teams to coordinate material deliveries and returns.
•Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
•Keep work areas clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient working environment
Qualifications
•This is a union position - must be willing to join the union
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain positions.
•Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
•Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
•Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and communication purposes.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or construction support is preferred.
