About This Job

The Material Handler’sresponsibility is to place incoming orders on shelves and pick up merchandise according to specific customer requirements. You will also monitor inventory and communicate any shortages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•

Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.

•

Load and unload packages.

•

Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes etc.

•

Receive and check for incoming tickets.

•

Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.

•

Document orders, materials and any stock movements.

•

Manage and maintain work environment safety, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to regulations including meeting any deadlines or requests.

High School Diploma or GED.

•

Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position.

•

Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc).

•

Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with co-workers, managers, customers, and vendors.

•

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment around large and noisy equipment.

•

Valid Driver’s License.

•

Balancing; climbing up to 8 feet; crouching; feeling; manual dexterity; handling; hearing; kneeling; lifting and carrying over 30 lbs; pulling; pushing; reaching arm’s length; standing for long periods of time; stooping;walking; visual acuity (visual perception of detail at distances close to the eyes, data and figures, computer terminal, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts.
